Holy Book or Vogon Poetry? 01

Here's a few lines of prose. Now, tell me is this a holy book or Vogon Poetry? If it's a holy book, which one? I'm not even going to give you multiple choices here. There are hundreds of holy books to choose from.
The planet which is the lesser light,
lesser than that which is to rule the day,
even the night, is above or greater
than that upon which thou standest
in point of reckoning, for it moveth
in order more slow;
this is in order
because it standeth above the earth
upon which thou standest,
therefore the reckoning of its time
is not so many as to its number of days,
and of months, and of years.

So lets hear your guesses. No cheating! No Googling! If you do either, the Vogons or the god that inspired this will know and punish you.

Er... Book of Mormon?

GCT, sadly no. However, I know for a fact that Vogons do consider this passage as fine non-Vogon poetry.

Close Postman, but no cigar. You're definitely within the right religion.

It all may as well be vogon to me.

OK, The postman almost had it. The passage comes from another book of scriptures written by Joseph Smith called The Pearl of Great Price.

Book of Abraham 3:5

The Book of Abraham is supposedly a translation of an egyptian papyrus through divine inspiration by Joseph Smith Jr. with a pair of magical rocks. The papyrus was eventually found and was inpreted by a real archeologist. It turns out to be written much later than Abraham's time and is a book of the dead. The papyrus contained nothing whatsoever from Joseph Smith's interpretation. The Book of Abraham is part of the Mormon canon called The Pearl of Great Price. The Pearl of Great Price is usually published separately from the Book of Mormon. Other "books" in the Pearl of Great Price include the Book of Moses and The Writings of Joseph Smith.
