Is this proof of God?

Here's a picture of a sunrise that I took at work last week. (Click to DL the full size 1024x768)

I am often told that a beautiful sunrise/sunset is proof that God created the universe. I don't know about that, but it sure is pretty.

Anonymous said...: Los Angeles has far prettier sunsets. The smog intensifies the colors when the sun is low in the horizon, especialy down at the ocean. God loves smog. But wait, man created smog. Now I am unsure whether to give god credit or not for beautifull sunsets.

Sunrises/sunsets are caused by sunlight reflecting off of the bottom of the clouds. That's not "just a theory" either.

Sure, that doesn't sound as cool as "Goddunit", but it's true and it doesn't make the sunrise any less beautiful.; December 16, 2008 at 6:08 AM
