Supernovas, young nebulas the result of supernovas, coliding galaxies, first generation stars, red giants, nuetron stars, black holes. The universe is ever expanding never being what it just was, evolving.
Larry M JhonsonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442773712288154969.post-24441326315710687722008-10-05T17:36:00.000-07:002008-10-05T17:36:00.000-07:00One thing that's not 100% certain is evolution. If a better theory came up, then science would abandon evolution in favor of the new theory.

Our understanding of evolution will continue to improve and ideas about the minor details of evolution will change as new evidence requires it. However the basic facts of evolution are not going to change. For example that idea that people and chimps share an ancestor is never going to be disproven for the same reason our planet's orbit around the sun will never be disproven. There's just too much powerful undeniable evidence for it, especially evidence from molecular biology and genetics. Nothing is proven in science but it's just plain nuts to say there's some chance evolution might be false.

That Ray Comfort moron is a batshit insane liar for Jebus. Of course everyone already knows that.

One thing I never understood is the connection creationists make between atheism and evolution.

I understand this perfectly because the creationists are correct. God was invented for many reasons but perhaps the most important reason is because ancient people wanted to invoke a magic fairy to explain the diversity of life. Darwin's beautiful simple idea, natural selection, took away the most important gap that the god-of-the-gaps used to hide in. In my opinion Darwin completely killed the god idea, and this was his greatest accomplishment. Darwin changed the world. The brain-dead creationists know this and that's why they are terrified of modern science, especially evolutionary biology.

What's the cure for the creationism disease which has infected half of the American population? That's simple. Just point at the creationists and laugh at them. Tell them to grow up and stop acting like retards. If they don't like that, just keep laughing at them and ridiculing them, until they understand their breathtaking stupidity will never be allowed in science classrooms.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442773712288154969.post-24487323238224801802008-10-05T15:07:00.000-07:002008-10-05T15:07:00.000-07:00 Well, I think that large-scale evolution is h... Well, I think that large-scale evolution is held as a sacred belief. It does not appear to be testable. To me, it remains an interesting possibility. (It is better than "godidit;" but I'm not going to hang my hat on it.)
I think it is significant that people who reject Ray's god could be uncommitted on or even possibly reject evolution. It shows that his characterization is false.Pvblivshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17931937272948538181noreply@blogger.com
